PROCESSING FEE SCHEDULE

On 13 October 2015, the governing board of the LSCGG agreed upon and instituted a change in the fees that it will charge for the processing of requests for different types of documents.

The older long-standing fee schedule was $5 for copies (whether paper or PDF) of marriages, deaths and obituaries. A $10 fee was charged for copies of probates, conservatorships or guardianships. That older fee schedule has now been revised and the current fee schedule is detailed, just below. Two fees are listed in the schedule; the first is for LSCGG members and the second is for non-members; requests made via email are cross-checked against the LSCGG Membership database to determine the appropriate fee.

NOTE: none of the fees in the schedule apply to those who physically visit the LSCGG; those who visit the guild pay a simple fee for machine use, i.e. copies are all 10 cents per page unless printed from the microfilm readers which requires payment of 25 cents per page.

Regardless of what type of document is requested, the postal mailing of paper copies or the emailing of PDF attachments would include the amount of the processing fee for that specific order. And regardless of whether paper copy or PDF is requested, the processing fee may be paid following receipt of that document order.

The LSCGG only accepts payment of any and all processing fees in the form of a check made payable to the LSCGG and postal mailed to the address shown at the top of this webpage.
